Long description
Arrow. Cane shaft with one end nocked into two rounded prongs and bound with ?sinew. The metal head has a long tang inserted into the cane and with a bulbously pointed head and a pair of downward facing prongs. The only events in Nigeria that I can find via a cursory examination of the Encyclopaedia Britannica on line is 'Dahomean attacks upon Abeokuta in 1851 and 1864 were decisively defeated.' to which this entry might refer [AP 5/7/2000]
