Long description
Crossbow bolt with metal head. For the associated bamboo quiver see 1923.85.551 .1. For the associated bolts/arrows and stones see 1923.85.551 .3 - .11. The shaft is formed from a piece of cane that has been split at one end, into which sits a diamond-shaped piece of ?bark, secured at the end by a binding of plant fibre. It has a double-barbed, metal arrowhead, with one broken barb. [AF [OPS move] 25/9/2017]
