Long description
Cylindrical brass lid for tinder box [1938.35.1910 .1] with attached leather thong and fire steel. The thong is passed through a loop on the top of the lid, threaded through the fire steel, and knotted. The fire steel is lachrymiform in shape with a pointed tip. [EH [OPS move] 7/9/2017]
