1938.35.1276Candle snuffer. The snuffing box is rectangular shaped with a domed top and has three convex sections along its length. The finger holes and handles are formed from a continuous section. The finger holes are oval shaped with decoration where they meet the handles. The finger holes each have a notch on the outer edge through which the feet are attached. 1938.35.1247Metal scissor candle snuffers. Finger holes with straight sides and domed upper and lower edges. These connect to scroll shaped arms or finger blades. Raised boss around screw with flat central section and bevelled edges. The snuffer box is rectangular, with two slightly domed sections on the top.
