Long description
Red ware canteen, which is flattened on one side and rounded on the other. Two circular handle attached to the top of the shoulder and a narrow neck with small mouth on the top of the vessel. Painted on a white ground with black and red painted geometric symbols on the upper surface. Cotton tied between the handles, possibly for suspension. [ASh [OPS move] 06/04/2016]
