Conical lid of wicker woven basketry for use with basket [1931.87.155 .1]. [MOBB [OPS move] 26/7/2017]
Long description
Conical lid of wicker woven basketry comprised of two layers of woven material. There are remnants of pandanus leaves between the two layers of weaving, although they do not fill the area. The rim is reinforced with an external frame of bent cane or bamboo which has been tied to the basket. There are two flexible handles of wound split cane. There is also a smaller handle attached to the rim. A loop of twisted rope has been tied to one of the flexible handles. Used with basket [1931.87.155. 1]. [MOBB [OPS move] 26/7/2017]
