1949.5.1BThe mask is constructed around a circular wooden frame bound with plant fibre. At the top of the mask is a section of woven plant fibre string-work which has feathers attached. The face of the mask is made from a rectangular piece of raw hide which has been coated with a black substance. Cut-outs in the surface form eyes.
