Long description
Burqa of blue dyed textile, machine stitched and embroidered, possibly for a girl. The burqa comprises three main elements: the main body of the garment, which is heavily pleated where it meets the tightly woven circular cap, and a short, thin panel which covers the face and shoulders. The panel includes an oval-shaped openwork mesh at eye level and has embroidered foliate patterns and an embroidered border. [JMC 11/7/2019]
