Research and responses

This object was donated by Emma Lee (Trawlwulwuy peoples of Tebrakunna country and Indigenous research fellow, University of Tasmania) on 1/11/2016 - 2/11/2016. Emma's grandfather many times back, Manalargenna, is depicted in two portraits by Thomas Bock [2008.77.11, 2008.77.12]. Emma Lee rubbed some of the ochre [2017.94.1] on to the stone [1934.83.452], as a way of giving kinship. The ochre has been stored with the stone [1934.83.452]. [NC 4/5/2017]
