Long description
Roughly cylindrical stiff leather case, open at the top, with thong threaded through two holes in the rim. Stitched with sinew. Contains a strip of skin, stained blue on one side (c.f. 1992.22.6), with thongs attached to one end, rolled and tied around: a leather finger-stall with adjustable brass screw, tied on a piece of string; a steel chisel with half the wooden handle missing; a black suede European-style glove for the right hand, with first and fourth fingers and thumb cut out and second and third fingers reinforced with leather. Also contained in the case are two cotton glove-fingers, tied together with tape, and the thumb of a leather glove with tapes attached.
