Description
Wooden dowel associated with the plough 1907.5.3 .1. One of three wooden dowels, with four holes, two at either end. There is a metal loop in the centre of the stick at a right angle to the hole. [ASh [OPS move] 21/2/2017]
Long description
Model of plough [.1] with yoke [.2]. The plough has a flat metal working plate. There is a metal hook at the end, secured with a plait of plant fibre. The 'U' shaped wooden yoke is tied at either end with string to a wooden stick. The middle of the stick has a metal loop. Three wooden dowels were found alongside this plough and are though to be associated with them too [1907.5.3 .3 - .5] [MJD 07/08/2014]

Research and responses

This model plough was studied by Prof. Dr. Danny Wong, University of Malaya, on 26 August 2014. He noted the metal plate at the front of the plough. He has not seen modern ploughs with this attachment, they are wooden. [MJD 28/08/2014]
