Long description
Amulet, a cylindrical bone portable 'chapel' in three parts; the outer [.1] and inner [.2] cylinder, and a carved bone figure of the Virgin Mary [.3]. The figure would have been glued into the base of the inner cylinder, however it was found detached and lose within the 'chapel'. The inner section fits into the outer cylinder and rotates, it would have revealed the figure of the Virgin Mary in a niche painted red. [RB 14/05/2012]
