- Long description
- Amulet, painted bone egg with initials 'I H S' on the base [.3- .4] containing rosary beads [.1] and a conical piece of painted bone [.2]. The egg is painted with a dark brown pigment using dots and a foliage design. There are two parts to it, a base [.3] and a lid [.4] which screws on to the base. The rosary beads are white with five black beads which are strung together on copper alloy links, with a crucifix attached, cast in copper alloy. The conical piece of bone is painted with a dark brown pigment with the top point of the cone left plain with no pigment. [ACA 27/03/2012]
