Long description
A basketry rattle, one of a pair. It is made from a cylinder of open basketry with a circular piece of gourd or calabash as a base. The basketry is tied up at the apex into a suspension loop. Small objects inside rattle against the base when shaken. For the other rattle see 1964.10.081 .1. [JC [OPS Move] 25/11/2016]
