Long description
Rectangular basketry lid. Light brown material on the inside; the top consisting of a twill or herring bone weave. Light brown and black material on the outside. On the exterior, the top is woven with concentric rectangles around two squares composed of triangles in the centre. The sides are decorated with a designs in black composed of squares and X's. The rim is reinforced with a framework of bent ?cane tied to it both on the interior and exterior. The basket associated with this object is 1948.6.48 .4 .1. [MOBB [OPS move] 17/11/2016]
