- Long description
- Red pottery lamp. Slightly triangular shaped body with projecting wick nozzle and expanded, axe-shaped section within which the wick hole is placed. The back end of the lamp is flattened and there is a perforated arch set on top at the back. The bottom of the lamp is flat and the sides are expanded and slightly convex. The top is flat with a depressed section around the filling hole. There are remnants of two incised bands surrounding the depressed area and possible incised decoration on the wick nozzle (mostly obliterated by sedimentation). [MOBB [OPS move] 11/11/2016]
