Description

Long description
The lower stone of a grinding stone or quern. It is circular in form with a flat upper surface and a large circular perforation in the centre. The stone is dark grey in colour. For upper stone see [1961.5.18 .1], for central wooden plug see [1961.5.18 .3] and for wooden handle see [1961.5.18 .4]. [JC [OPS Move] 2/11/2016]
