Long description
Cylindrical wooden pipe stem, part of a pipe with pipe bowl made red pottery and copper alloy mouthpiece. The pipe stem is cylindrical and covered with thorns which have been smoothed. The shaft has been stained a reddish brown colour. The ends are plain and carved with tapering sides. The end which slots into the stem socket is wrapped and bound with a length of silk textile.
