Long description
Wooden stem with copper alloy wire bound around the mouthpiece, part of a pipe with reddish black pottery pipe bowl. The stem is covered in thorns which have had their points smoothed. At one end the stem tapers where is slots into the pipe socket. At the other end of the stem the mouthpiece is bound with copper alloy wire. For the reddish black pottery pipe bowl in the form of a conventionalised crocodile see 1942.13.137 .1. [CW [OPS Move] 17/10/2016]
