Basket-work stopper, part of a wooden snuff container. The stopper sits around the neck of the snuff container and is attached at one point with chain link hinge. The stopper is decorated with inset black and white trade beads. A double chain is attached to the hinged lid at one end and the wooden snuff container at the other. The chain is joined in places with coils of metal wire. For the wooden snuff container with neck decorated with trade beads and single-link chain see 1967.19.6 .1.
