1953.4.18.1Model canoe, made from sewn bark fibre. The canoe is long with two pointed ends and has seven benches and a length of fringed plant fibre attached to a protruding bow section. Remains of a feather attached to the tip of the prow. The exterior of the boat is covered in red ochre. There are two other parts associated with this canoe 1953.4.18 .2 is a 'walkway' and 1953.4.18 .3 is a bundle of paddles and a water bailer tied together.
