Description
Lid for a bamboo container. See 1908.59.52 .1 for the bamboo container. [MdeA [OPS move] 4/7/2016]
Long description
Incised bamboo container with lid and two bands of plaited plant fibre on both parts. Parts of this container have been stained with a dark pigment, there are also two bands unstained that have incised decoration. Base has been coated in a gum or resin with iridescent insect cases embedded into surface. There is a suspension loop that may have been added at a later date. [R McDaid 1/7/2016]
