Long description
Wooden spindle with whorl and yarn. Circular in section, with both ends tapering to a point. The tip of one end is broken, There is a ceramic whorl in the centre of the painted section, painted black with moulded and painted geometric patterns in red, white and yellow. Partially spun brown yarn has been wound around the spindle, almost totally covering the surface of the wood. [EH [OPS move] 12/10/2017]
