An entry from Delivery catalogue I 93 which had been tentatively matched has been removed, it had a number 3350 which this object does not [AP Feb 2006]

- JAI, 1878: 462 'Âlaba-da. This is obtained from the bark of a tree of that name. It is used in making rope (Bêtma v no 24) turtle net (v no 60) necklaces anchor rope bundle fastening etc. It is also used in carrying 'Jôb' (no 17) which is suspended from the head by the women and from the shoulders by the men. From the bark the 'Chîp' (no 25) is made' [Taken from 'List of Andamanese and Nicobarese Implements Ornaments etc presented to Major-General Lane Fox by EH Man esq and thus described by Mr Man 18th September 1877'[AP Leverhulme project on founding collection 1995-1998]
