- Lace bobbin winder.
- Long description
- Lace bobbin winder [.1]. The winder consists of a bent wooden wheel with six spokes inserted into a wooden post which is in turn inserted into a wooden base. There is a wooden pulley between two vertical posts opposite the wheel. There is a wooden drawer in the side of the base [.3]. Attached to the wooden base on one side of the wheel is a length of wood with vertical wooden post at one end. Detached from the bobbin winder are two lengths of wood (swifts) [.2] joined together in an 'x' shape with three round perforations at each end and [.4] a further swift. The wood has been damaged by woodworm. [MJD (Verve) 19/4/2016]
