Long description
Tea set comprising teapot with lid, 4 cups and a shovel-shaped dish. In wooden box with sliding front labelled 'Japanese tea-set. Belonged to Aunt Rose.' White porcelain shovel scoop with an oval base, elongated body and two circular notches on the sides of the rim of the vessel. The exterior is decorated with floral and foliage patterns in blue paint. Glazed surface. Part of a tea set consisting of a teapot and lid [1989.44.30 .1 .1 - .2], four teacups [1989.44.30 .3 - .6], a shovel-shaped dish [1989.44.30 .2] and a wooden storage box with lid [1989.44.30 .7 - .8].
