- Long description
- Basketry pouch or bag with basketry cover, bound together. The pouch is made of brown plant fibre twill woven. The cover is also made of brown material and material that has been stained black. The cover is decorated with bands of chevrons, a zig-zag bands, and two bands of repeating pattern that could be a stylised bird or turtle. The rim of the cover has been reinforced with stained bent cane which has been tied to it. There is also a twisted fibre yard which has been tied to the object to act as a handle and to bind the two halves together. [MOBB [OPS move] 24/11/2016]
