- Pigeon whistle made from wood, metal and plastic. The cap of the whistle is painted silver with two slots, one bigger than the other. The whistle is round in shape with the belly area blue, white and red resembling the energy drink Red Bull logo. The tang support of the whistle is wooden with a metal tang perforated with a single hole. [FB 27/01/2015]

As part of the Sound and Music's Composer-in-Residence programme, Nathaniel Mann spent 18 months 'Embedded at the Pitt Rivers Museum and Oxford Contemporary Music. As part of his residency Nathaniel researched the pigeon whistles in the PRM collections and made his own pigeon whistle from recycled materials. He tried his whistle on pigeons and flew them in notable places in the UK.
