- Tubular skirt of indigo cotton with resist-dyed patterns in bands. [FB 05/03/2014]
- Long description
- Tubular skirt of indigo cotton with resist-dyed patterns in bands. The skirt has jaspe resist-dyed patterns in bands, and thin stripes of purple. Made from two long, narrow pieces of woven fabric, joined together down one long side with decorative randa stitching in alternating sections of yellow and pink cotton thread. The two pieces of fabric are also joined at the ends, using orange and pink cotton thread with visible slanting stitches, making the skirt tubular. The skirt is in relatively good condition, showing little sign of wear. [FB 28/03/2014]
