- One of a pair of chopsticks made of antler, painted with deer, trees and other symbols. Previously attached to [1985.53.867 .2] with a paper band, however this has torn. The inscription on this object was transcribed and translated by Fusa McLynn who volunteered at the Museum in 2013 as: (Top end of chopsticks, respectively) “Na” and “Ra” in Chinese character, Both together, “Nara”, an old capital of Japan . [FB 11/03/2015]
