The inscription on this object was transcribed and translated by Fusa McLynn who volunteered at the Museum in 2013 as: “Kokuhei chusha Shimotsuke no kuni Ichinomiya Nikko chinza, Futara-san jinja kito o-harai”, Amulet from Futara-san shrine in Nikko, Shimotsuke province (now Tochigi prefecture). Identical to 1985.53.372, 1985.53.385 and 1985.53.386 [FB 08/01/2014]
