Research and responses

Originally entered on database as Plains Lakota (Sioux). Accession book gives provenance as Dakota, but it is not clear whether this refers to the state or to the Sioux group. [CW 14 5 99] A date of 1893 was given in the when collected field possibly referring to the Chicago government exhibition

Purchased at the Chicago government exhibition.
