The inscription on this object was transcribed and translated by Fusa McLynn who volunteered at the Museum in 2013 as: “KIyomizu-dera Kanzenon Fujoyoke o-mamori”, Amulet from Kannon of Kiyomizu-dera temple to avoid uncleanliness. [FB 21/08/2013]
