Research and responses: The inscription on this object was transcribed and translated by Fusa McLynn who volunteered at the Museum in 2013 as: “Kokuhei chusha Futarasan jinja betsugu, Takinoo jinnja Kodane ishi o-mamori”, Amulet for fertility from Kodane ishi (literally means ‘child rock’) at Takinoo shrine which belongs to Futaraisan shrine.
