1909.74.52.1-2Black leather shoes with broad toes and sole nailed with wooden pegs, a second layer of leather at the toe, the heel built up of several thicknesses and with a metal strip round the sides. A loop of leather holds a long red plait at the back of the heel and a velvet band tapering at the end is sewn to each side of the instep. The toe is decorated with one blue 2 red rosettes and a strip of pleated black ribbon sewn with painted tin buttons1909.74.52.1-2
