- Long description
- Amulet, diamond shaped cardboard and textile reliquary, containing a figure of the Virgin Mary and saint names inscribed in black ink on paper. The outside of the reliquary is made up of paper whilst the back is a green and white striped textile, there is a rope loop at the top for suspension and a layer of glass on top which frames the reliquary. In the centre of the reliquary is a ceramic figure of the Virgin Mary which has been crudely painted. Around the figure there are four strips of paper glued onto blue paper and inscribed with the following: "agnus dei", "Sæ Coletæ", "Sæ Ursulsæ. M.", "?". Around the edge there is coiled and folded gold edged paper creating a border and a flower design. [ACA 11/06/2012]
