- Long description
- Embroidered textile. Piece cut off a baby carrier. 'T' shaped textile made from cotton textile dyed indigo. Embroidered on one side with silk thread bands of geometric patterns in silk thread in red, orange, green, blue and white in satin stitch and bands of silk ribbon. The central design is that of stylised butterflies embroidered in surface satin stitch is silk threads in orange, green, blue, red and white. Three edges of the textile are edged with embroidered black cotton embroidered with alternate geometric motifs in white cotton yarn and coloured cotton yarn. [FB 24/07/2012]
