Long description
Neck ornament consisting of translucent red seed beads and coixseeds. The beads and seeds have been threaded onto a synthetic string. The red beads have been interspersed with rows of four coixseeds in alternate white and brown. [FB 25/04/2012]

The Dani people (also spelt Ndani) are one of the most populous tribes in the highlands of West Papua. The Dani are one of the most well-known ethnic groups due to the small numbers of tourists who visit the the Baliem Valley area where they predominate. [FB 27/04/2012]
