Long description
Fisherman's amulet. Oval with picture of St Benedict on one surface and inscriptions on both sides. With perforation and metal suspension loop. One side is inscribed "CRUX S.P. BENEDICTI" with a picture of St. Benedict. The other side is inscribed "V.R.S.N.S.M.V.S.M.Q.L.I.V.S. IHS" around the edge, with a cross within an oval. Written inside the cross is "CSSML" vertically and "NDSMD" horizontally. The letters "C", "S", "P" and "B" are written around the cross. [SM 17/02/2011]
