Long description
Carved and painted model mask with decorative 'ears' tied to the sides of the mask. The face is painted dark blue with details added in red. The eyes project out from the mask. The mouth is carved open with teeth showing. The mask has an elaborately carved and painted headdress. This is painted dark blue, green, yellow, red, cream, pink and black. The 'ears' are tied to the mask with strips of textiles. They are also carved and painted and project up to the top of the mask. [SM (Verve) 15/04/2013]
