- Carved wooden acorn in two pieces [.1-.2], decoratively carved with leaves, linear and crosshatching designs. Used as an amulet against lightning. [.1] is the acorn nut section and [.2] is the top cup. The two are threaded and screw together. [.1] is hollowed out inside. [SM 03/02/2011]
