Long description
Wooden model of a figure in a torture cage. The cage has a square base and wooden vertical bars on the sides, tapering inwards towards the top. The top, or lid, of the cage is cut out to go around the neck of the figure. The top of the cage bears an inscription in ink. The figure is barefoot on tiptoes and has been carved wearing long trousers and a jacket with three painted green fastenings. [MJD DDF Body Arts Project 2010/2011 13/10/2010]
