Long description: Stone tool: handaxe. Made from a lump of brownish-grey stone which has beige coloured markings around the outer edges. The stone has been worked to a point at the distal end. The dorsal side of the stone has a convex shape, with the central area higher than the outer edges. [LKG 08/03/2010]

Research and responses: Following communication with David Morris at the Kimberley museum it seems that this collection may have been sent to Henry Balfour for his opinion on them, since a previous collection had been sent to him. These items bear Kimberley museum accession numbers and that museum holds data relating to their source sites etc. [CRFW 3/9/2002]
