- Pair of silver baby's filigree leg rattle. [FC 06/11/2009]
- Long description
- Pair of silver baby's filigree leg rattles. Both leg rattles are the same. They are made from silver and have intricate filigree decoration. They consist of two semicircular pieces of silver which are hinged together with silver pins at both ends. The pin at one end is attached to a length of silver chain and can be removed so that the rattle can be opened and fastened onto the baby's leg. The decoration consists of two bands of twisted decoration at either edge and a central design of circles. Alternate circles have been decorated with raised dots resembling a flower. Attached to one edge of both bracelets is a length of silver wire metal attached through silver loops. Onto the wire are attached eight silver bells [.1] and nine silver bells [.2]. [FC 06/11/2009]
