- Long description
- Cloth worn by women. Cotton, predominantly white with red. There is a loosely woven square pattern in the weave. Down the two selvage edges of the textile is a red border of horizontal stripes, 50 mm wide. At both ends of the textile there is a band of red and white stripes running from selvage edge to selvage edge. Both ends of the textile are finished with three sets of three thin red horizontal stripes. The loosely woven square pattern has been kept and can be seen throughout the textile. The warp threads have been left long to form a fringe. [FC 8/6/2009]
