- Semicircular scraper, sub oval in shape with retouch on the distal, left and right dorsal edges. [MN 23/10/2008]
- Long description
- ?Side scraper, sub oval in shape with retouch predominantly on one of the dorsal edges. On the ventral face there is no retouch, the bulb of percussion has a pronounced erailleur scar. The flint has a heavy greyish white patina on all surfaces. [MN 23/10/2008]

For centuries it was an estate village, centred on Mongewell Park, which since 1953 has been the home of Carmel College (now closed). In the college grounds a path leads to the ruined church beside the river where only the chancel and polygonal bell turret remain standing.
The site of Grim's Ditch a linear prehistoric earthwork [which passes by Mongewell] is recorded in the Oxfordshire Historic Environment Record [HER] under PRN 8900. The site is also a Scheduled Ancient Monument [monument number OX32]. [MN 23/10/2008]
