- .1, and .2: Box and lid. The cardboard box is covered with red paper that has a texture and sheen imitating leather. It is damaged at the corners. Inside the box are 79 tarot cards of equal size and a small book. .3: Book. The book has a hardback grey cover with a transparent paper sleeve protecting it. The second printed page reads: "THE KEY TO THE TAROT. Being Fragments of a Secret Tradition under the Veil of Divination by ARTHUR EDWARD WAITE. NEW EDITION. LONDON. RIDER & CO. Paternoster House, E.C. 4" and overleaf: "Made and printed in Great Britain by Fisher, Knight and Co., Ltd. Gainsborough Press, St. Albans.", NB. There is no date of publication or print. There are 212 pages detailing the history of the tarot, the meaning of each of the tarot cards, and instructions for use. .4 - .82: The tarot cards. The back of each card is identical and is printed in pale brown with a pattern of many intelocking jagged lines. The face of each card is different: one is blank, and the rest are printed in colour with animal or human figures in various poses and settings. In brief the set consists of the following:
