Description
Wooden sheath for a sword [1910.17.1 .1], with smaller sheath attached, decorated with animal hair and a hornbill feather. [El.B 15/2/2007]
Long description
Sheath carved of wood in two halves, bound together with cane, slightly curved, with decorative carving on the top part. Decorated with fringes of animal hair and a black and white feather. Attached is a smaller sheath of ?bark, partly covered with red textile, with a tassel of animal hair. With a belt covered with red textile, with a loop at each end, to one of which is attached a knotted tassel of yellow and green string. [El.B 15/2/2007]
