Description
Half of a bronze pectoral cross.
Long description
The cross has been damaged in a fire and only half remains. In its undamaged form the cross consisted of a central square with an inscription around its edge. Only half of this central square remains - a triangular section extending from one corner to another. Adjoined to each of the two remaining sides of the cross are two doves facing each other, a cross and some openwork. Engraved on either side (as recorded by Juel-Jensen below) with biblical images but these are very faint. [JP 29/4/2004]
