- Long description
- Rectangular piece of pink polyester foam, with corners cut away, onto one side of which is stuck an image of the Mother of God with child and on the other side an image of a saint (St Filofteia) holding a crucifix, both printed in colour on gloss paper. Stuck into the edge of the polyester foam around the entire circumference of the object are pins each threaded with a tiny red or white bead, a yellow sequin, a large black bead (or at the corners a yellow bead) and then another sequin. The pin at the top of the icon is threaded with a large silver-coloured faceted bead and flower shaped sequin only. Onto this top pin is attached a loop of synthetic gold-coloured thread to which is tied a clear round plastic suction device used for securing the icon to a car-windscreen. [JP 23/2/2004]
